DanteI was fast obsessed with Dante’s Inferno when I first read it so many years ago. The terror and absurdity that accompanied the epic tale made me giddy with fright. If I had only had access to Danteworlds then, I would have been even more obsessed. The site contains anything you could possibly need to understand and explore each of Alighieri’s adventures in the afterworld. The Divine Comedy is exquisitely divided and presented in three sections: Inferno, Purgatory, and everyone’s favorite, Paradise.

Danteworlds is an excellent presentation by The University of Texas at Austin. Each book is divided by sections and cantos, and contain loads of supplemental materials such as audio clips, study questions, and images galore. If you’re teaching or learning about The Divine Comedy, or if you’re just obsessed with the macabre and strange like me, check out this site and utilize the wonderful resources found within. — JEREMY S.
