Students with special needs or disabilities present a bevy of challenges for teachers. In the age of the interweb, though, you can find all sorts of resources for special needs education. The nice folks at Teaching Tips.com have assembled a big list of them in The Ultimate Guide to Special Needs Teaching. Here you’ll find more than a hundred sites and resources for students who are blind, deaf, autistic, physically handicapped, terminally ill, and most other afflictions imaginable. They also list ESL resources, as teaching special needs students who also don’t speak English can create a whole new set of challenges, but these can probably be used by anyone teaching students learning English as a second language.
