Instructify has frequently written about the educational uses of Google Earth, here and here, for example. Fortunately, it’s such a good tool that another post won’t be overkill. The Earth and Space Science QUEST site, created by undergrad students at Penn State Brandywine, includes a collection of lessons that utilize Google Earth.

While this resource is not terribly extensive, the lessons offered are high quality. Each one includes a teacher’s guide, a student worksheet, and instructions on how to incorporate Google Earth into the lesson. If a Google Earth file is necessary, it also includes the file. Additionally, the lessons are labeled according to grade level (elementary, middle, or high school).

I think we all know that Google Earth is a great resource for the classroom, but perhaps we don’t all have the time or skill to create meaningful lessons with it. This website allows you an easy way to integrate some interactive technology into your class.
